Best Buck Contest

Overview:

  • Two Categories – Gun and bow.
  • Enter by paying a $10 entry fee and specify the category
  • Individuals can enter both categories by paying the additional entry fee of $10 per category.
  • Prizes will be paid for at least the top 3 trophy's in the bow category - gun category prizes will depend on # of entries - (11 or fewer entries) 1 Prize, (13-20 entries) 2 prizes, (21+ entries) 3 prizes
  • Big Buck Contest Prizes will be selected by the winners from the pool of prizes listed below:  1st pick goes to the overall largest buck taken regardless of category, 2nd pick goes to the top buck opposite category of the 1st pick, 3rd pick goes to the largest of the remaining bucks eligible, 4th pick goes to the top buck *eligible buck remaining of the opposite category, 5th pick goes to the largest remaining eligible buck and so on.

    * Note - Gun category contestants are only for there allotted number of prizes given based on number of entries.

Contestant Rules:

  • Harvested entries must be harvested legally during the 2005 hunting seasons and after contest entry.
  • Winners are determined by Highest Gross Antler Score using the American Big Game or B&C measuring standards.
  • Because we have members from many states - this contest is not limited to only Minnesota bucks but is limited to fair chase hunts only.
  • An official score sheet or examination by a representative from MinnesotaWhitetails.com must be completed for each trophy harvested.
  • All entries must be received prior to their respective hunting season.
  • MinnesotaWhitetails.com reserves the right to inspect trophy entries.
  • MinnesotaWhitetails.com reserves the right to disqualify contestants and their trophy’s at any time.
  • All trophy entries must be reported within 10 days of the harvest.
  • All trophy entries must make an image available to be displayed on MinnesotaWhitetails.com.
